Castro de Vigo
At 150 metres above sea level, this castro or hillfort settlement is located in O Castro, a hill in the heart of the city. This site was discovered during excavations conducted over the past century on the northeast side of the hill. The remains of around twenty houses and various other common castro structures were revealed. They are only a small sample of the settlement, as the whole enclosure used to cover the entire hill. Some replicas of the original houses were built on the site according to the information recovered from this settlement and other similar castros
