These islands are part of the Atlantic Islands National Park, a paradise of beaches and crystal-clear waters with a unique natural environment ideal for the exploration of flora and fauna. The archipelago is composed of three islands: Monte Agudo, O Faro and San Martiño. The first two are connected by the beach of Rodas, which was declared the best beach in the world by newspaper The Guardian.

Features
Native terrestrial flora and fauna The dominant species is the yellow-legged gull, with 22,000 breeding pairs making up the world’s largest colony. There are also many shags, comprising the most important shag colony in the southwest of Europe. Other pairs present on the islands are the lesser black-backed gull, storm petrel, northern gannet, northern goshawk, Arctic loon, peregrine falcon, Manx shearwater, black-headed gull and common murre. Wild mammals in the area consist of rabbits, hedgehogs and some otters. Reptiles include the Bedriaga's skink, ocellated lizard, Iberian wall lizard and some colubrids, which are essentially harmless and not venomous.Timetables The islands are only available for visiting from June to October and during Easter if the weather allows it. Native aquatic flora and fauna The islands have one of the richest marine ecosystems of the entire Galician coastline, including an important furbelow and kelp forest. There are many lobsters, spider crabs, octopuses, etc. underwater, barnacles and mussels on the cliffs, and sea urchins and anemones on the rocky interior of the islands. Dolphins, whales and seals often visit the area.
