It is not a particularly large square, but it is extraordinarily beautiful. It is a typical Galician square, with houses built from blocks of granite, arcades, balconies, and a 15th century cross in the middle, which in all likelihood was moved to the square from the O Burgo bridge. It can be seen at its best in spring or summer. Its balconies festooned with colourful flowers and its wooden terraces are enough to make the traveller feel captivated by this beautiful corner of Pontevedra. The main building of the Pontevedra Museum is close by
