Torre de Cira
CiraCira (Santa Baia)36587 SilledaPontevedra
Although most of the data about its early days is unclear, everything indicates that the castle was built on a hill by Bernardo Xoán de Deza in the 11th century and was later refurbished by the conde Bermudo Suárez early in the 12th century. To carry out the construction of the building he had to be authorised by Gelmírez himself. Due to unforeseen events, it ended up being donated to doña Urraca, who later sold it to Gelmírez. In the end, it collapsed in 1467 during the Irmandiño revolts after being witness of several confrontations, always with the church of Santiago in the middle
