Fervenza del Toxa is a cascade with an over 30-metre drop, which makes it the highest waterfall in Galicia. The impressive environment numbs the sensesn in this unique natural area. The Toxa River originates from the mountains of O Candán and flows through the fertile lands of Deza until it ends in the parish of Bandeira in Silleda.

Resource description The cascade is an impressive natural spectacle of water, light and sound. It is located in the parish of Pazos and considered the highest waterfall in Galicia.Native terrestrial flora and fauna There are cork oaks (quercus suber), strawberry trees (arbutus unedo), bay trees (laurus nobilis) and Pyrenean oaks (quercus pyrenaica) in the area, while oaks (quercus robur), sycamores (acer pseudoplatanus) sweet chestnuts (castanea sativa) grow where the soil is deepest. There is a gallery forest near the river with water-loving trees such as grey willows (salix atrocinerea), alders (alnus glutinosa), narrow-leafed ashes (fraxinus angustifolia) and hazels (corylus avellana).
The fauna is characteristic of water courses: otters, dippers, kingfishers, trout and a few falcons perching on the granite edges.
