Feria del vino de O Rosal
O Rosal is one of the subareas of the Denomination of Origin Rías Baixas. One of the broths from this municipality is made from grapes from the Albariño and Loureira varieties (with a minimum of 70%), while the rest are all produced from wines within the subarea as well. Wines from Rías Baixas have collected many honours and awards from the most prestigious tasting events and are present all over the world. Every third weekend of July, this festival celebrates them and their unique flavour with the support of the wineries that are part of the Denomination of Origin Rías Baixas. The festivities are complemented by different recreational and cultural activities.

Origin and history Wine from this area was brought by the Romans because the region had the perfect climate for its production. There are records of the monks of the monastery of Santa María de Oia taking care of the vineyards in the 12th century. The festival was first held in 1993, both to celebrate the patron saint of the town and to promote the typical products of the region of Baixo Miño.- Descripción del entorno: Urban
