Belén artesanal en movimiento
Rúa Nova, s/nCampaña (Santa Cristina)36647 ValgaPontevedra
This is one of the most spectacular Nativity scenes in Galicia due to its dimensions: it has more than 3000 pieces covering an area of 250 m². It is also famous for not only incorporating religious figures, but elements from the present as well.
The Nativity scene is handcrafted but also uses technology to provide movement to about 300 figures, water pumps and lighting. It started in 1995 with some Christmas craft workshops, and every year it became larger and more original. It was declared an attraction of Tourist Interest in 2013.

Features
Origin and history A group of neighbours of Valga in collaboration with the Council have made this project an essential part of Christmas since 1995. The Nativity scene starts to be built in early September after many hours of hard work, in which they plan how they will organise more than 3000 pieces in an area of 250 m², which new figures can be added and which ones can be improved. It changed locations many times and now is in the town of Rúa Nova, Campaña. After 18 years, this is a must-visit for both locals and tourists. Responsible body Amigos do Belén Association/Council of ValgaItineraries and main events during its celebration There is a contest in which visitors must find a famous figure among the rest of the characters with the help of three clues.
