Rúa Baixa, s/nValga (San Miguel)36645 ValgaPontevedra
Bella Otero was a dancer, actress and courtesan in France during the Belle Époque. This centre is housed in her birthplace and organised around her figure due to her uniqueness and wide knowledge of the world. Her love for her home town was reflected in her will, in which she left her possessions to the needy in Valga. In spite of the fortune she had earned, however, they were limited to 609 francs.
The museum presents a chronological exhibition of the different chapters of her life from a social-economic and political perspective at a global level. Women’s role and their contribution to society throughout history is also reflected.
