Pazo Torres de Agrelo
Asnelle de AbaixoReboreda (Santa María)36800 RedondelaPontevedra
Late 19th-century Galician pazo (a traditional manor house), ordered to be built on top of a Franciscan monastery by Marshall Rubín de Celis. After being home to several illustrious figures and a military hospital during WWII, it was restored and adapted as a rural hospitality venue, located near the ría (‘estuary’) of Vigo in Redondela, and very close to the San Simón Island.
Its period décor is a notable feature, in addition to many details such as the armours and sculptures scattered inside the building, the restored 17th century beds and the chessboards carved from wood or made of high quality glass.
It is surrounded by exceptional gardens with views to the estuary, as well as by several fountains and a number of tree species of great relevance and beauty, among which the camellia stands out. These days it is a rural tourism establishment and an ideal place to celebrate weddings or other events.
