Jardines del Pazo de A Saleta
The Pazo de A Saleta garden is located in the heart of the comarca of O Salnés. The original estate was acquired by Margaret and Robert Gimson, a British couple, who created this English-style garden from 1968 with species from all over the world, with the help of the landscape architect Brenda Colvin. The garden has a large number of plants from the southern hemisphere, especially Australia, New Zealand, South Africa and the Far East, alternating native tree species with these oriental varieties. The A Saleta garden has one of the most important private botanical collections in Spain. In 1996 part of the estate of acquired by the Rodríguez Coladas family, who restored the pazo and chapel and continued with the conservation and expansion of the garden's species.
