O Morrazo

Halfway between the Ría de Pontevedra and the Ría de Vigo is a place with a rugged coast and family beaches, an Atlantic spit of land with a very characteristic natural landscape. O Morrazo is impressive and boasts a rich history. It combines an endless number of beaches, an attractive landscape and majestic coastal towns.

On the Costa da Vela, you can visit the capes Cabo Home and Cabo Udra, two high spots that offer stunning views over the coastal inlets of the province and the islands of the Maritime-Terrestrial National Park of the Atlantic Islands. You can travel back in time with a visit to the archaeological site of O Facho Hill, where you can also enjoy one of the best sunsets in Galicia.

Along the coast, there are many constructions that have been closely linked to the sea and the canning industry. Of them, it is worth mentioning the canning factory Massó, which used to be owned by a Catalan family that moved to Bueu and built one of the largest and most important canning industries of the last century.
