This festival was first held in 1987. The parish of Arcade, in the municipality of Soutomaior, celebrates a large food festival during oyster season full of recreational activities. More than 100,000 oyster samples are distributed, which can be fresh, in a pie, marinated, etc. Other species are also present, such as cuttlefish or eel. Oysters have been called sea truffles, shellfish pearls and mermaids' sex, among others, which is proof of the devotion they inspire. The event was declared a Festival of Tourist Interest in 2012.

This festival has been celebrated since 1993 and offers tastings of poultry and a programme of activities in which music and culture are the focus. The domestic rooster is part of the European Network of Culinary Heritage due to its great quality meat (which is low in fat), intense flavour and firm texture. This is because the roosters are fed a natural cereal diet and are allowed to roam freely during a minimum of nine months. The exhibition and sale of the best roosters takes place in Plaza de Abastos, and the festival is accompanied by musical performances.
Gastronomical festivity celebrated in A Estrada, in the parish of Loimil on the first Sunday of May, in which lambs are roasted on skewers and then offered to the attendees in the form of a sampling menu.
This festival has been celebrated on the last weekend of May since 1967. It has the objective of promoting the trout, together with an international fishing tournament taking place during the previous days in the Verdugo River. The trout tasting event is organised during the weekend, both outdoors in the town centre and in the restaurants of Ponte Caldelas.
The Red Wine Festival of O Salnés, which first took place in 1967, sees an expert committee of wine tasters hand out prizes during a popular meal in which octopus is the key ingredient, along with pies and meats, accompanied by the famous red wine of Barrantes, a product of the Espadeira grape and praised by a great many writers. The schedule also includes a series of concerts and cultural activities, craft stalls and a display of products from Our Canning Industry, where you have an opportunity to try products from the administrative division of O Salnés, along with a demonstration of culinary possibilities and with prizes for the best products
First thing in the morning, the ranchers go up the mountain and drive the wild horses to the curro. Then you can have something to eat on the mountain, in the canteens surrounding the outdoor pen. And in the afternoon, the ranchers go into the outdoor pen and split up, branding the animals and cutting their manes before setting them free
This indie-rock music festival is very important to the city. Apart from featuring performances from a number of bands in these genres, it offers a craft market and workshops in which visitors can take part in different activities throughout the day.
The next edition of this event covers 14 km of fresh water from the river beach of Portas to the bridge of Cabanelas in the municipality of Ribadumia. The best athletes in the discipline compete against each other in this event.
Pilgrimage and religious festivity honouring San Telmo, celebrated on 30 June that takes place in the chapel of Santa Margarita, in the pedestrian street "Rúa Hospital" in the municipality of Cambados. This festivity features a chanted mass and an exhibition of regional dances.
