Located in the centre of the parish of Barcela, the chapel is originally of Baroque style from the 18th century. This chapel is part of an excellent architectonic set formed by a calvary, a wayside shrine and an old lamp post.
The chapel, with a simple construction, has several elements on its walls that are very difficult to place in time or interpret. For example, there is a small niche that must have housed an image, an inscription and a drawing of which we don’t know neither their origin nor their meaning. Other stones of the chapel seem to have been re-used for the building of the church.
