The old cannery of Goday (the first industrial cannery of Galicia) now houses the Interpretation Centre of the Canned Food. The building was restored between 2000 and 2006 by Manuel Gallego Jorreto and it resembles the Catalan modernist architecture. In the surrounding area is Muelle de Pau, the old salting factory, which also belonged to the Goday family, along with their residence and a botanical garden.
The permanent exhibition of the centre details the entire production process of a 19th-century cannery and displays a collection of old photographs and perfectly-preserved canned food, as well as the original steam engine.
