This natural area is an estuary located between the parish of Caleiro and O Terrón beach. It is formed by a coastal water body that penetrates into the land, where it meets the mouth of the Currás River.
This great water body, which contains the island of Insuiña and an islet, has a rich marine fauna, with cockles, carpet shell clams and short-necked clams among other species. In addition to this, its interesting flora and bird species make the place stand out.
