Cangas de Morrazo
This white cylindrical lighthouse was built in 1853. It is located at the end of Cabo Home, the westernmost part of the Morrazo peninsula. At 18 m above sea level, it is of one of the tallest beacon towers on the entire coast of Galicia. Its light has a range of 12 km and marks the entrance to the ría (‘estuary’) of Vigo between the Cíes Islands and the Costa da Vela.
