The parish church of Santa María is of Romanesque style and it was originally part of a women’s Benedictine convent during the 12th century. It still preserves several architectonic elements from that period, like the floor plan with only one nave and the rectangular apse. During the 14th century, the monastery disappeared and only the church dedicated to the parish remained. In 1809 it was heavily reformed, adding the tower and the sacristy. The element of greater artistic quality is the main portal with four pairs of columns under archivolts with vegetal decoration. Inside there is an interesting semi-circular triumphal arch and capitals with vegetal decoration.
