This church was built towards the end of the 12th century and early 13th century, but it has been heavily modified throughout its history. It’s very likely that it was built over an older temple related to a monastery, as indicated by the toponym of the neighbourhood where the church is located, Mosteiro (Monastery). The temple has only one nave, with a semi-circular apse inside and a semi-decagonal one on the outside. The main door has two archivolts and a dome. On its meridional wall, we must highlight a relief representing two human figures under two small arches supported by Solomonic columns, possibly from the Roman period.
