Iglesia Santo Estevo de Beade

The church of Santo Estevo is the parish church of Beade. It is presided by a typically rural ambient with an atrium and a calvary on one of its lateral facades. The portal has a segmental arch without any big decorative elements. Santo Estevo is located above it, in a niche that preserves an interesting masonry work, both in the carving of the lateral scrolls and in the upper body of the niche. The lines of the central tower are marked from the base of the church, highlighting the door area, the niche and in the upper section, after a balustrade, bell tower and clock. The tower is covered by a ribbed vault. Parallel to this tower, but not as tall, we find the pilasters ended in pinnacles that emphasise the verticality of the ensemble. The church has only one nave and a rectangular floor-plan. In 1904, a refurbishment was carried out elevating the nave and adding a brick vault of Gothic style. It presents a functional architectonic style, with Baroque and Gothic elements.
