The building comprises three industrial premises featuring a collection of around a hundred carpentry tools, as well as personal mementos of Castelao and the reproduction of a classroom similar to those from the beginning of the 20th century. It is not currently open to the public. The museum is named after Reimóndez Portela, a doctor who was born in 1916 in A Estrada
