The Pazo de O Rial, located on the border with Vilanova de Arousa and nowadays a hotel, was built in 1696 by Juan Antonio Mariño, using the stone and masonry from the Lobeira Fortress after it was destroyed by the irmandiñas battles. The baroque style of its chapel, cross, the old raised granary and the wonderful dovecot are all striking. It has the classical structure of the Pazos that were built as stately homes on old castles and fortresses
