Plaza Ravella
Vilagarcía de Arousa Pontevedra
Spain

The best way to get to know a place is wandering through its history, and Vilagarcía de Arousa is a perfect place to take a walk and admire its urban area, where the squares bring the town to life. Plaza Ravella is located at the old pasture land formerly known as Campo de Cabritas del Marquesado. The town hall is located at this square; the French-style building was an initiative of the mayor, Francisco Ravella I Arenas, in 1883. Later, in 1900, the garden of Plaza Ravella was created, and in the 1920s the tile polygonal benches were incorporated. Plaza Ravella marked the beginning of the modern-day Vilagarcía de Arousa.
