At the summit of O Facho mountain, the first thing you see are the excavations of the Beróbriga settlement, with around 50 circular settlements. At the top of the hillside is a circular construction of walls and a stone dome the bases of which formed part of an old lighthouse or coastal watchtower. The shrine was built using the remains of Roman stones, which leads one to think that in olden days this area may have been an important sanctuary of religious pilgrimage, as there are hundreds of stones in the surrounding area dedicated to the Bero Breus, the god from whom pilgrims prayed for health, as witnessed by the Latin inscriptions "Deus lari Berobreo aram posuit pro salute". A large number of the stones are currently on display at the Quiñones de León Museum in Vigo. It is thought to be the oldest shrine in Galicia
