The "pesqueiras" (fish traps) are unique constructions on either side of the River Miño. They are stone parallelepipeds which run into the river from both banks, to catch fish (mostly salmon, lamprey and shad). The Pesqueiras Route is slightly less than 1 km long, with several explanatory boards, along a short section of the Miño where there are pesqueiras (fish traps) and a medicinal mineral water spring
