Fornelos de Montes

The O Suído mountain range gets its name from the suídos (pigs) that used to inhabit this area - and still do. The sierra encircles the municipality of Covelo, and borders the municipality of A Lama and Fornelos de Montes in the province of Pontevedra. It features a large number of chozos (huts for shepherds and livestock) and fosos (constructions used for hunting wolves). A hiking trail (called O Foxo do Lobo) has been cleaned up in the area of Covelo.
