This significant archaeological site is located at the back of the beach of O Carreiro. A series of layers reveal a villa from the Roman period, a necropolis burial ground from between the 5th and 18th centuries, the foundations of a Visigothic church from the 5th century and parts of a fortification from the late Middle Ages, which was built as protection against attack from the sea.
