The architectonic style is the Galician Neo-Baroque. The hermitage is dedicated to the Virgen de A Guía (Our Lady of the Snows) and to the Sacred Heart of Jesus Christ. Manuel Gómez Román was in charge of the construction of the new church, as the old one was in a very poor state of preservation. The church’s reference point is a central tower. In the original project, it was much bigger and it was crowned by the image of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, but due to the poor economic situation of the order, they decided to reduce its size. The hermitage has a rectangular floor plan with a polygonal apse, built over a platform supported by a sturdy dry stone wall. The exterior walls are also made using dry stone, while some wall sections of the temple and the arcades use ashlars. The cornice of the main façade is cut through an original composition of plaques. The main entrance is highlighted with a parted pediment with a scallop shell in the middle.
