It was built in the 16th century by the abbot of Teverga.
A convent of Augustinian nuns was founded in the second half of the 17th century next to the palace. Attached to it there is a religious school. These buildings are connected by a large arch. Made of granite and with the simple decoration typical of the Renaissance era. On its façade you can see the coat of arms of the Marquis of Vilagarcía.
On the roof you can see two attractive stone chimneys, one circular and the other rectangular. Originally, it had two lateral towers, but one of them was moved to the convent during the 17th century.
The Neoclassical church of the convent (San Cristóbal Church) was built in the 17th century. It has a rectangular shape with only one nave, three side chapels and a crypt. On its facades you can find the ecclesiastic coat of arms of Fernando de Andrade, born in the pazo and the person who promoted the construction of the convent.
The pazo currently houses the Filipense Sagrada Familia School.
