A centenary ritual, celebrated since 1890, takes place in this chapel. Every 15th August, an image of the Virgen del Alba is carried to the chapel and on the 27th an image of San Bartolomé too. Some days after, on 8th September, both images descend to the parish church of Valadares accompanied by hundreds of faithful and groups of bagpipe players. The hermitage is formed by two rectangles. It is slightly raised because it is located over a granite outcrop. It belonged to a castle located close by.
