This beach covers a large part of the bay of Baiona. Its original name was Area Loura, which was given after its golden sand, but the name today comes from the first residential area built by natives from the Americas. It is a beautiful shell-shaped area sheltered from the rough ocean. Despite the fact that it is windy, it has moderate waves.
