The Barrio de O Berbés is a small fishing village inside a large industrial city where the life of its neighbours revolves around the sea.
The visit to the Barrio de O Berbés can start in the A Ribeira gate. There you can find the typical squares and arcades where all the working related to fishing was done. O Berbés was a dry dock area, so the small wood constructions were originally warehouses to store the tools until they ended up becoming houses for the sailors.
It is a neighbourhood in the process of rehabilitation with a lot of tradition that deserves more than one walk around it
