Catoira
The original medieval church was built following the Galician typology of the so-called “marine” Gothic style (in its first stage from 1250 to 1350). Its characteristics were: a rectangular floor plan, only one nave, a roof with a wooden structure supported by transversal pointed arches and a tile gable roof. The major chapel was also rectangular, deep, narrower than the nave and covered by a pointed barrel vault.
