The River Barragán runs through the parishes of Pazos de Borbén and Fornelos de Montes. The Fragas del Barragán route (PR-G164) was created and enhanced in 2011. The trail runs approx. 18 km, has a medium gradient and is of a medium level of difficulty. The entire route takes almost 5 hours in total. The itinerary combines nature and heritage in a single area, as it passes through one of the best-preserved oceanic forests in the province of Pontevedra whilst offering insights into its important cultural heritage. Examples of this are an 18th century aqueduct, the Casa da Rainha, a number of restored mills, and the Monte da Cidade, a 17th century settlement.
