This Interpretation Centre aims to promote a creative learning atmosphere and raise awareness of the importance of a cultural and historical legacy born of the area's archaeological and architectural assets. Its goal is to cover four basic functions: research, conservation, dissemination, and promotion of the natural environment. It features a permanent exhibition on the most culturally relevant aspects of Taboexa, for example its forts, petroglyphs, church, chapels, cruceiros (stone crosses), petos de ánimas (wayside shrines), and water mills.
