It is a double building based on the structure of two houses. It faces both Plaza de la Constitución and Plaza de la Princesa. The first remodelling was done in 1978 after the municipal headquarters were moved to the current City Hall. The final one was carried out between 1993 and 1995 and was done by the municipal architect Antonio Alonso Fernández.   This building, with an eclectic architecture and elements of the classicist style, is currently the Casa da Cultura Galega.   It is a simple eclectic building.
