The settlement of Chandebrito is located at the top of a promontory that is visible from the first moment you enter the town. From this viewpoint you will enjoy some wonderful views of the town, the Serra do Galiñeiro mountain range, the coast surrounding the Ría de Vigo, and the coast of Baiona. Anciently, there was a castro settlement, although only its ruins are preserved nowadays. Descending through the opposite side, you will find the Bosque da Memoria, which means the ‘Forest of Memory’, with native trees and sculptures that honour those that fight forest fires. The 'overlook that was reborn from the ashes' is located a few metres away. It came back to life after the area was devastated by a series of massive wildfires. The viewpoint boasts a sculpture shaped like human lungs titled Rexurdimento, which means 're-emergence', and it offers some wonderful views that are worth enjoying.
