Even though the original parish church must have been built in the Middle Ages, the oldest artistic vestiges date back to the 16th century. From that time, the parts preserved are the Occidental door and part of the façade, animated by a small altar where the main saint’s image is located. The window is from a later time and the door’s design is of late Gothic style. The Saint Peter image also recalls the stylistic formulas from the Royal Hospital, specifically the image of the same apostle, done in 1510. We can conclude that the stonemasons who made the façade of San Pedro de Dimo, approximately around 1520 or 1530, came from the stonemason workshop of the Royal Hospital of Santiago de Compostela, directed by Egas.
