The municipal council of Lalín, designed by architects Luis M. Mansilla and Emilio Tuñón, consists of a series of buildings with organic forms dominated by curves. It draws inspiration from castros (pre-Roman hillfort settlements) but with an added technological twist, effectively linking past and present. Adapted to the uneven ground, the buildings are laid out around a public meeting space. The concrete interior and light glass facades turn it into an open and not very hierarchic location.
