This campus belonging to the University of Vigo is situated in a mountainous area near the sea in the vicinity of the city. Many faculties, administrative offices, research centres and student residences of great architectural interest were built there in the last decades. It has become particularly significant regarding contemporary architecture in the province. The following buildings were selected as sites of special interest: the O Castro Halls of Residence, the University’s teaching block, the Rectorate, the Central Services Building, the Faculty of Legal and Labour Sciences, the Technological-Research Industrial Centre (MTI), the Higher Technical School of Telecommunications Engineering, the High Technical School of Mining Engineering, the Faculty of Economic and Business Sciences and the Faculty of Philology and Translation.
