The church is a compendium of many and varied styles, the result of alterations and modifications it has experienced throughout its history. The church still has Romanesque decoration on the front, the roof cantilevers and its Latin cross floor-plan. Inside there are Gothic domes combined with the Baroque panel ones. The tympanum focuses all our interest, considering the motif on display: the X of Xristus. On both sides of this you can see the figures of children holding a book or instruments. The Church of O Hío is extremely important because of its famous cruceiro, the work of the maestro Cerviño
