A vantage point located on Galiñeiro mountain, 1.5 km from the centre of Pontecesures, from where you can enjoy an extensive view of the Valley of the River Ulla, observe how the Rivers Ulla and Sar meet, and observe the administrative district (comarca) of Caldas. The vantage point is divided into several terraces with an eating area equipped with tables, benches, grills, and indigenous tree species such as chestnut trees. In the centre of the vantage points is a column with a hen perched on top, which is where the vantage point gets its name from. All around are hillocks and pine and eucalyptus trees. It is currently in need of a revamp, as the vantage point is covered with weeds and, given its remoteness, has been subject to vandalism in recent times.
