Deposited clay has been extracted for hundreds of years from the important ecological intertidal zone Umia–O Grove in order to make bricks and tiles in pottery kilns known as telleiras. This former factory is where the clay was extracted, kneaded, dried and baked to make handmade tiles and bricks. It was restored whilst maintaining the original structure, and the old granite kilns where the clay was cooked were preserved as well. Human action and nature combine in this centre to pay homage to artisans.
