The Fortress of Amorín is part of the San Luis Gonzaga-San Jorge da Silva-Amorín border system on both sides of the Miño River. On the Galician shore it is represented by the Fortress of Amorín and on the Portuguese side, it is formed by San Luis Gonzaga and San Jorge da Silva. It is also part of a bigger network that covers the entire border along the Miño River. It is an even system as it puts face to face the people from two countries.
