This museum is situated in a privileged place, O Porriño, which has one of the largest archaeological sites of the world with a single variety of granite: Rosa Porriño. It is also the location of many natural stone manufacturing companies.
Minergal is housed in the Granite Technology Centre. The exhibition room is on the administrative building’s ground floor and its permanent collection occupies around 130 m2. It includes more than 500 samples of minerals and rocks from all over the world, and from Galicia in particular.
