The pazo is a private property. Its construction dates back to the second half of the 16th century. The pazo was owned by the Varela, a family related to the kings of Aragon.   The irregular shaped building is composed by a basement, where the winery and the cellar are located, a ground floor and a floor to which you can access climbing up an interior wooden staircase. In the main building you can see a tower with pinnacles and, to its right, a large gate also topped by pinnacles through which you can access an inner patio. New constructions have been added to the pazo. It has a semi-public chapel attached to the central building.   Other auxiliary buildings were also added to the pazo such as a dovecote or a hórreo. It has a land of more than 37,000 square meters dedicated to vineyards.
