The Pazo O colexial is a secondary building of the Pazo Rúa Nova and belonged to Francisco Antonio de Valle-Inclán de los Santos, an ancestor of the writer Ramón del Valle Inclán, nicknamed “o colexial” (the scholar). He was one of the founders of the Galician Language Academy and the first newspaper in Galician. It was built over several old cubes integrated in the defensive wall of the fortress where the Rúa Nova House-Tower was located. It has a curious baroque gallery.
