This is one of the best beaches on the European side of the Atlantic Ocean and one of the most emblematic in Galicia. It is part of the municipalities of Sanxenxo and O Grove. The more than 2-km long area has fine white sand, crystal clear waters and it is ideal for anyone who loves the sea and water sports. The intertidal zone of Umia–O Grove is there, which is a wetland with great ornithological interest.
Additionally, the church of A Lanzada is in the area, containing a statue of a Virgin closely linked to fertility rituals, and a necropolis from the 4th century BCE. It is a unique location where heritage and nature blend together.
