Vilanova de Arousa
It's the longest and biggest ría in the world. It is characterised by the presence of numerous islets and reefs that act as natural breakwaters, for example the island of Sálvora. The deep water zone situated in the O Grove nature reserve is particularly noteworthy: this is in the cove forming part of the Umia-O Grove Intertidal Complex, a shallow bay with an important tidal movement. The ría is ideal for anchoring vessels. Thanks to its varied winds and sheltered nature, it is the ideal place for recreational sailing and all sorts of nautical activities
