The actual church was originally attached to a monastery. It has a basilica floor plan with three naves, the middle one wider and higher, and three semicircular apses. The three windows of the central apse were closed off, which made the decorative elements disappear. Nevertheless, two more windows were opened, one on each side of the chancel, to illuminate, even though they don’t fit the predominant style of the ensemble.
