The Botica Nova is an outstanding building that the famous architect Antonio Palacios built as a pharmacy and home for his brother José. Built in an eclectic style, it is a simple building, laden with modernity although with markings and strong lines of stone, standard features in the work of Palacios. This work not only stands out for its huge historical value, but also for the assiduous informal talks held here. Participants in these informal gatherings included the siblings of Palacios, the writer Paz Varela, Ramón Cabanillas, Enrique Peinador, Vicente Risco and the artist Francisco Llórens. It continues to be a pharmacy, although the owner is no relation to the Palacios family
